the nAME:
the beginning:
I was a second year veterinary student who desperately needed a creative outlet. After creating my dog's instagram account (@sedonadoggo), I grew interest in making bandanas for her. Sewing runs in the family; my grandmother owned a sewing supply shop, and my mom used to sew for a living as well.

So, in the summer of 2019, Donut Seeds was born. My mom taught me how to use her sewing machine, and we cut our first set of patterns out of Christmas wrapping paper. I designed my first logo, learned my way around Etsy, and listed my first few products for sale. The rest is history.
the now:
In between tests, clinical rotations, and studying for my board exam I have managed to nurture this little business. Now, I have achieved the dream I have worked towards for so long: doctor of veterinary medicine. I have spent a year and a half learning, creating, growing this shop and striving to provide top notch products. Because we all know, there are SO MANY pet accessory shops out there. I always want to give you a reason to come back to mine.
For those of you that don't know my precious angel, my heart dog... her name is Sedona! Her nickname is Donut, hence the first part of the name. The second part comes from my family roots. My grandmother always called my mom Punkin, which earned me the nickname Punkin seed. So it is a tribute to the women who not only passed along to me their talent with a sewing machine, but also their strength and independence.
